February 2010 4th ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY THEATER GUILD, LIFT EVERY VOICE! 
On Sunday, February 28, 2010 we invite you to Lift Every Voice, an exciting Black History Program in Prince George's County. The curtain drops @ 3:30 p.m. on our 4th Annual Black History Theater Guild featuring dramatic depictions of African Americans both past and present. This year we will feature the eloquent abolitionist Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth, civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., gospel recording artist Mahalia Jackson, King of Pop Michael Jackson, US President Barack Obama and more. In addition to a celebration of famous African Americans, our theater guild will feature outstanding performances by the Tabernacle Baptist Church Praise Dancers of Petersburg, Virginia, the Petersburg High School Concert Choir and the electrifying Mount Hope Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir. April 2010 Sunday, April 4, 2010, Easter Service of Celebration Diaconal Ordination On Sunday, April 11, 2010 join us for the Diaconal Ordination for Brothers Ricky Mcleud and Jermaine Holloman @ 3:30 p.m. Our ordination preacher will be the Honorable Dr. Nathaniel Young, pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Woodford, Virginia. Dr. Young is a pastor, educator and former federal Operation Research Analyst and Mathematician Interdisciplinary Physicist at the Naval Surface Weapon Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. Dr. Young is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and is the former Chairman of the Spotsylvania County School Board in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Dr. Young was educated at the University of Michigan, Mary Washington College and Fredericksburg Bible College and is the honored recipient of the Doctor of Theology, (D.Th.) and Doctor of Religious Education (D.R.E.) degrees. All churches and deacons throughout the Tri-Cities are cordially invited to join us for this service of ordination. Music Ministry Weekend @ MHBC O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together! On Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Mount Hope Baptist Church will observe Music Ministry Day. May 2010 Mother's Day Program 
On Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Mount Hope Baptist will observe Mother's Day. Our 2010 Mother's Day speaker will be Dr. Yolie Massenburg, pastor of Seraphim Ministries in Petersburg, Virginia. Dr. Massenburg is an informative, inspiring and exciting local pastor and we invite the community to join us as we celebrate mothers past and present. Following the service, we cordially invite you to join us for a Mother's Day reception in the fellowship hall. Armed Forces Sunday at Mount Hope Baptist Church On Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Mount Hope Baptist Church will celebrate Armed Forces Day in the life of our church and community. We invite veterans and current members of all branches of the armed services to join us in this day of celebration. Please wear a pin, uniform or hat from your branch of the military.
June 2010 Father's Day Program On Sunday, June 20, 2010 we observe Father's Day during our 11:00 a.m. worship service. Join us as we pay homage to our untiring and strong fathers. Pastor Prince will deliver the Father's Day message.
July 2010 Women's Weekend 2010 at Mount Hope Baptist Are you new to the area? On Saturday, July 10th from 11:00-1:00 p.m. you are cordially invited to join the women of MHBC for a Woman to Woman Women's Weekend luncheon. Bring your girlfriends and meet new friends. Be informed, inspired and energized to be all you can be as a 21st century woman of God. This program is free and open to the public. Also, join the women of the church on Sunday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. for Women's Day 2010. Because we only invite the best, our Women's Day speaker is a dynamic and highly regarded public speaker and will be announced shortly. This year marks our 2nd Annual Hope Awards Celebration. In that regard, during the Women's Day celebration, we will pause to pay tribute to three women of distinction in our community. Annual Outdoor Worship: 2010 Praise in the Park Would you like to engage in fun, food and fellowship under the sun? Want to mix and mingle and meet new Christian singles or new families in the area in a relaxed atmosphere? Spread the word and join us for our 8th Annual Praise in the Park Worship Service and Gospel music shout out on Sunday, July 25, 2010 in Temple Recreation Park, located 14307 Prince George Drive in Disputanta, Virginia. J3, Jeans, Jersey's and Jesus worship begins @ 12:00 Noon with preaching by our pastor, Reverend A. Carl Prince and music by the spectacular Sanctuary Choir of Mount Hope Baptist and the outstanding King Sisters of Hopewell. At 4:00 p.m. we invite the community to bring your lawn chairs and sit back to a fabulous community gospel music extravaganza as area choirs take to the stage! This year, we invite you to bring your grills for a Holy Ghost tailgate party as we engage in fun-filled activities and fellowship together. Bring your cameras, family and friends and join us for Praise in the Park. As always, this program is free to the public! August 2010 2010 Homecoming and Fall Revival @ MHBC We are happy to announce the out of town guest preacher for our 4:00 p.m. Homecoming service on Sunday, August 15, 2010 has accepted our invitation to serve and we look forward to a glorious Homecoming service. Stay tuned for further information. Details will be forthcoming. Also, join us for our exciting and spirit-filled revival Monday - Wednesday @ 7:30pm nightly.
